About Me

Ashley Altadonna is a transgender videographer, graphic designer, musician, author, educator, & activist living in Milwaukee, WI.

In 2004, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film. In 2008, I started my own film/video production business, Tall Lady Productions. My films, “Whatever Suits You” and “Playing with Gender”, have screened in numerous international festivals and have been used as teaching aids in high schools and colleges.

In 2008 I also began working as a Sexual Health and Wellness Educator for the Tool Shed, a national awarding-winning, mission-driven, education-based sex toy store. From 2016 to 2019, I served as Project Coordinator and Transgender Community Specialist for FORGE, a national transgender anti-violence organization. I have also been a contributor to several local online magazines as well as being featured in Morty Diamond’s anthology, Trans/Love: Radical Sex, Love & Relationships Beyond the Gender Binary.

Currently, I am the Education Specialist for Trans Tool Shed, a leading resource of quality products and information for trans and non-binary people and their loved ones. When I’m not doing all of that, I enjoy playing music, watching movies, and spending time with my wife, son, and two cats.
