Ifihadahifi - Everyone’s A Doctor
Ifihadahifi have been friends of mine for forever. They finally let me direct a video for them for this ear worm of a song about the psuedo-scientific, post-reality, punditry-filled world we find ourselves in. The guys let me come up with the concept for the video and I have to say, everyone involved did a fantastic job. You can even read a write up about the video from MilwaukeeRecord.com here.
Ellie Jackson - China Lights
A simple but effective video for Jackson’s song about lost love, letting go, and moving on.
The Slow Harvest
Country rockers, Borrowed Ashes went through a lineup change and rebranded as The Slow Harvest. The lonesome, haunting melodies are still here with a little more polish. They contacted me to do a series of videos, as well as the album art for their debut, “Songs from the Sad Bastard Songbook”.
Borrowed Ashes
Folk music trio, Borrowed Ashes sing about life's fleeting joys and inevitable sorrows. Tales of the all-too-real human condition, simultaneously awe-inspiring and heartbreaking. These two videos were shot to promote their forthcoming album.
Situations -
“I Hate My Generation”
Created for the the PRF Virtual Thundersnow 2022. I was inspired by the dueling vocals to do a split screen duet with myself.
Vacancy Chain - “Loblolly”
Shooting band videos during a pandemic provides unique challenges, especially when your bandmates live in different cities.
Vacancy Chain -
“Let It Ring Out”
Another video made during the lockdown. A straightforward analogy about the tenuous nature of democracies.
Body Futures -
“A Complete Divorce”
This video for Body Futures was inspired by an ABBA video and a love of gaussian blur. Read a review about it here.
Direct Hit -
“We Are Alone”
Sometimes you don’t need a lot, just an actor with a lot of energy and maybe a few star wipes.
Purr -
“It Came to Me in Utah”
One of the earliest music videos I shot. The arcade machine at the end of the video malfunctioned, giving us the perfect ending to this story.
